Unacceptable Racist Behavior from Staff Will No Longer Be a Customer!

Writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding a disturbing incident that took place during my recent visit to this store on 10/06/24. I was subjected to disrespectful, racist behavior from one of your employees that I cannot overlook.

While checking out, the employee handling my purchase was blatantly rude and passive-aggressive. Not only did they slam my bag down on the counter with unnecessary force, but their comments throughout the interaction were condescending and patronizing. It was clear to me that I was being treated differently because I am Black, and this is simply unacceptable.

This experience left me feeling disrespected and humiliated. It is shocking and disgraceful that in 2024, a company such as yours employs individuals who harbor and display such racist attitudes. I will not be shopping at, nor selling my clothes to, a store that allows its staff to treat customers of any color this way.

I urge you to take this matter seriously and address the racism within your staff to ensure no one else has to endure such an experience. Until then, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I took a large amount of clothing in to try and sell. They explained to me how it works and I agreed to see what they would take. I ran errands while they looked through my items and was excited to see how much I could make. When I got the text they were finished I quickly ran back! They explained they were able to take some items and offered me $135. I was actually excited as so many of my friends tried to sell here and were offered $3. I agreed, loaded my stuff they didn’t take and went on with my day. After pondering on this amount for several days, I feel completely taken advantage of. They “bought” 43 items, that equals $3.13 per item. I’m not a math wizard.. but if I understand that they price the items at a 1/3 of what they retail for and give you 20-30% of that… I would say I was robbed. For example, there was a brand new DKNY puffy winter jacket… so that would sell for $6.00 brand new? A free people sweater worn once… that would also sell brand new for $6. The math isn’t mathing… I’m honestly really sad as I was excited to have found this place and make extra money for clothes I grew out of. While I appreciate making some extra money I absolutely feel robbed. The amount of items vs what they gave me just isn’t sitting right with me. I feel like an idiot for agreeing to the amount, looking back on it. I feel like they look through your items, take things they would want personally (for free) then just make up a random number for your offer. They give you an itemized receipt of each item they bought, but it doesn’t have a price they “bought” it for. I absolutely won’t return to sell items here again. It actually makes me sick to my stomach thinking back on all of the awesome items they “bought” for the price they gave me. I would’ve made more having a yard sale. After reading several other reviews I certainly will never return here to sell or shop.

I visited the store early on 8/31. Besides the fact that they didn't take a lot of my clothes due to the style on some of the clothes (even though I saw a lot of the same style throughout the store) the 3 woman working very slowly seemed busier gossiping (very loudly) about other employees who weren't present at the time. Super unprofessional. I hope the manager reads this to know that they has some employees who aren't very kind about other employees. Yikes. Won't be back.

I was looking for somewhere to sell my daughter's worn once pageant dresses and by the advertisement it seemed to only take high end items. I would consider Jovoni and Ashley Lauren High end in pageant world. Anyway once I got there I was told it was all to formal, understood. I then gave them some all white pumas worn once a brand new juicy sweater, brand new purse and a pair of old navy jeans. They passed on everything. Now what I'm trying to figure out is how half the things In there have been worn out to the point of just, take it to good will! but my items were "not in demand" wired!

I love this place. I shop here regularly and sell regularly as well. They are selective about what they take, but that’s what makes the shopping there good. Sometimes they don’t buy something because they have a surplus, so I will sometimes wait on the item if I know it’s nice and bring it back a couple months later.
I’ve shopped here through changing weights due to having kids and it’s such an affordable way to have current styles. And I love when I stumble upon treasures for a deal. Would highly recommend checking it out. Especially if you’re in the mood to hunt.

It was neat well organized but they're not up to the scale of other resale shops like elite repeat. I thought the prices were too high for resale. Last year seemed better.
