I have been attending therapy sessions with Katie for a year and highly recommend her and the staff at the Center. My husband left me abruptly last year with two young children and one I was just beginning to wean off nursing. I was distraught and felt I was not functioning well mentally and physically. It has been a tough year but I feel making the time and effort to attend therapy sessions was the best thing I could have done for myself and my children.
I still go weekly and doing well as I just finalized a divorce and trying to move forward with my life and with my kids. I highly recommend anyone at the center and if you feel too busy please remember too make time for you! My five year old now attends session with Devon and I am glad she has been progressing well too.

Couple's therapy? Suma will lie to the police on your spouse's behalf. Your freedom is not safe here. Her own notes prove it.

UPDATE: I now have polygraph results showing the information Suma reported was false. The truth does not matter at this practice. Save yourself. Go elsewhere.

CODE OF ETHICS

43. NCCs shall provide accurate reports which are based on direct experiences with individual(s) or documentation from other professionals when providing opinions. NCCs shall limit opinions to areas within their expertise.

50. NCCs shall not misrepresent a test or the results and shall provide accurate information in the event that he or she becomes aware of any false statements.

Suma failed to provide any documents supporting her false accusations in response to my HIPAA request. It wasn't in MY therapy notes. Yet, even after bringing this to her attention as well as her attorney, she has made no attempt to correct or clarify her false reporting. This may not be a crime (not by Suma anyway) if she believed my former partner, but it is a clear ethical violation to report false information as my therapist (how she is referred to in the police report) which did not come from and was not discussed in my therapy or any therapy I attended.
