I arrived at the office a little early and checked in for my appointment. Waited a few minutes before Dr. Thirtala came to get me. We proceeded into her office to discuss how things were going. After some candid conversation she refilled my medication and I was on my way.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this lady is a monster! I felt totally invalidated! She told me I was lying about my ADHD and pretty much told me in so many words I was drug seeking whenever I was referred to her to get a stimulant for my ADHD.

If you smoke weed at all, that’s all they care about. I had 3 doctors here completely focused on me smoking. My problems have been happening much, much longer. They will not listen.

Same thing just happened to me as Amanda. She invalidated all the diagnoses I just talked through with my psychologist today (like saying I don't have an eating disorder because I'm not "fat or thin"). No one told me she needed a copy of the ADHD report I received. Did not offer any solutions other than increasing the medications that don't work. I was honest with her about medications I've taken and she said I needed to "be careful about what I say," so encouraging lying to doctors. Also said that she "knows how young people are" as if to imply I'm drug seeking rather than seeking life-saving medication. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not go to her. The visit made me feel unheard, hurt, and invalidated despite an actual and formal psychiatric assessment being made.

Extremely disappointing experience. I waited 3 months to get into this doctor and she showed up 6 minutes late to a 20 minute new patient evaluation. She then proceeded to tell me there is nothing she can do for me unless I get records from a prior doctor (nobody informed me of this during my 3 month wait). I expressed that I had difficulty in the past getting records from this doctor. She then told me she can't help me unless I do. It's concerning to me that she did not want to take the time to reevaluate me like I requested. To top it off, she doesn't listen. Everything I told her, she just said the opposite. "This medication isn't working." "Oh, so you're saying this medication is working." It was like that with everything.
