Hannah Dobson is one of the sweetest and most understanding therapists I have seen to date. I have seen many therapists. She actively takes notes during the whole appointment that she reads before the next appointment so that she actively remembers everything you told her before. My past therapists never did this and often failed to remember anything about me and often contradicted themselves from appointment to appointment. Hannah has never done this. She is very smart and wise, and has offered many breakthrough moments that made me feel like she was really helping me take strides to do better. I mentioned to her in my first appointment that I am a huge people pleaser and will often agree to things that I don't want to please others. For the months I have seen her she has always remembered this and has been very careful to analyze me (without making me uncomfortable) to be sure that I am not agreeing to things to please. She always offers me an out and allows me to feel in control of the appointment while also being able to guide it when I begin to shut down and get quiet. She really is an amazing soul and I'm very grateful to her.

One things that still blows my mind is how incredibly sweet and kind the staff is behind the front desk. Every doctor and therapist I've ever been to have always had horrible staff behind the desk that were disorganized and incredibly rude. Here, it is nothing like that. The lady behind the front desk is funny, and so so sweet. She also actively looks out for you and helps you with things like scheduling and billing and works hard to make sure whatever she does benefits you rather than them.

I also love they have a digital sign in at the front door, so you don't have to talk to someone every time before your appointment. You just type in your name, and choose your counselor from a list and it send a message to your therapist that you are there. then you can just sit in the waiting room and wait. The atmosphere is also very nice and comforting.

If you choose to go here and feel you need a gentle and tentative approach I definitely recommend this play and to request Hannah.

Nathaniel is ok for only being employed at this office for 9 months. I would not recommend to anyone else. This business was able to get me in in a week. An OSFMG office minimum 60 day wait. The missed appointment fee, one freebie, is the full insurance rate, for me $160.00. This office is not that special and the rate does not match the service. I would go here for the short term and then find a provider with deeper pockets.

Can't explain how much I am enjoying my sessions at Summit Family Therapy with Katie. After avoiding therapy after a bad experience elsewhere, I reluctantly decided to try therapy one last time at Summit. Everyone I have met has been wonderful and I recommend this practice to everyone I know!! Thank you for creating such a warm, welcoming, accepting atmosphere that makes me feel comfortable to explore hard topics and truths.

Therapy is the best medicine. We as humans can be so narrow minded and often feel stuck. We get ourselves into what I refer to as a "neuro-choma", where we can't see ahead of the wreckage. Dr. Ryan Stivers has a way of explaining things that soak in deep and help you to connect the dots. I am a self pay patient and ALL of my sessions have helped me grow. Just when I think therapy can't get any better, it does. Each time I walk out of Summit Family Therapy, I feel comforted and confident. I make notes every session and sometimes I can't write fast enough bc it's ALWAYS an eye opening experience. The atmosphere and energy of this place are so heartwarming. I can't recommend this practice enough! Please check them out! They are my superheroes ❤️

In my personal experience with Courtney and Ryan, I found that they were very qualified, experienced, and passionate. It is also clear that they practice what they preach and they seek to improve themselves. I am very grateful for the time I had with them.
