It’s a one star because my therapist was an OK. Therapist for three years unfortunately they are unwilling to release my records due to payment plan issues. I felt A very hostile environment. The staff don’t look professional. They look like they need help themselves. I would hi Lisa just going to any other place than this where they prioritize money over their patience mental state

Excessively unprofessional.

My turn to evaluate the evaluator.

Upon walking into the clinic, music played loudly in the waiting room. I was then asked to fill out paperwork but I was actually pretty distracted by the music and was also surprised to hear what was being played. The Weeknd, I’d die for you was one that stuck out in particular. The secretary was then annoyed that I missed one small section in the paperwork, which actually turned out to be just one line. Very impatient. Secretary was also wearing a Def Leppard t-shirt.

Once the doctor was ready, I was asked by her to join her in her office. There again, another surprise. Dr. Singer’s office was draped with gay pride flags. All over her office. Again I thought this isn’t the place for that nor the music messages being played in the waiting room. Dr Singer, overall, presented herself decently and thoroughly and seemed genuinely concerned about the abuse I was subjected to that lead me to her office. Although I was there for a psych evaluation, at the end she gave me her business card and insisted that I reach out to her and continue my conversation if I needed to. I so appreciated that, then she went on to complain about how slow the day was going which I found to be odd, though I just giggled and went on my way.

My psych evaluation, that took a few weeks to formulate, also turned out to be odd. She ultimately said I was too positive and capable of making up the abuse. Also said it’s likely that I was neglected. Also made note about the emails exchanged in a weird way. Mentioning I sent three, as if unwarranted and not including her participation in the exchanges as well.

Overall, I’d say from my experience that this clinic doesn’t actually care about the patients. I got the sense it was more of a power trip for Dr. Singer to be in a position to judge, rather than help. (Presenting a false sense of care)

Also, their heating system was faulty and set at 75 in the winter. Without informing me prior to arrival, I was wearing typical winter clothes and of course over heated and uncomfortable throughout the 4 plus hours of being evaluated. Again, lack of care.

In conclusion, if anyone else has had a bad experience here don’t take it personally. And there are clinics that do care for your well-being, so don’t settle when you don’t feel treated right. Also the secretary’s office was more of a social hub for the staff, putting patients second to their conversations.

I want to also make note there were staff members there that seemed genuinely friendly and professional I just wasn’t in session with them. So thank you for that and also thank you for the snacks I was given when I inquired about a vending machine because I was getting light headed from the excessive heat, small rooms, no windows, looking at a computer screen for hours taking the exam.

Refuses to release patients records,
Was told my personal records are property of Department of Social Services because they requested evaluation . Trying to use child's evaluation to continue mental health care.
HIPPA violation.
Complaint filed with the state.

Made follow up appointment for a session and they got the day and time wrong twice, also i called to cancel a session and ended up receiving a no show fee.
