I was coming here to see dr lo, who ended up leaving. I then went to dr gait who tried to say I had bi polar which in no shape or form have I ever been told since I’ve been on meds when I was 6. I transferred and came back when my provider left. Saw Nicole who was great but left. Then today I went in for my appointment, which was supposed to be video but “the link not working was not their fault” and I was told my provider had been exposed to COVID 8 times but I needed to see her. Mind you I’m getting married in two weeks. They don’t care about people. Only money. Worst place to ever go.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gait since 2019. Dr. Gait gives it to me straight and has the ability to be honest while not sugar coating her observations as to clinical diagnostic and medication discussions and reviews. Exactly what I have needed for years. I may not always like what I hear, but her guidance and expertise have been life changing for me. She does in depth psych assessments by not only getting clinical impressions from me, her patient, but took the extra steps to talk with family members to obtain thier observations of my illness, with my permission, since I am not the best at describing them sometimes. She provides recommendations on reading materials, books, and shares more than she has to. More than I have ever experienced in the past state I resided seeing other psychiatrists over the years. She is excellent at seeing beyond my 'mask' and is not the kind that can be manipulated. I highly recommend Dr. Gait as you will get honesty and clinical care beyond the scopes of general expectations of a psychiatrist.

Seeing Dr. Gait was one of the worst experiences of my life seeing a mental health professional. She was not professional at all. She blamed me and criticized my intelligence about my diagnosis. She belittled me to the point I left out her office crying all the way to my car. I left more depressed than when I came in. She has no empathy or compassion in my opinion. Cindy Sundeen was the best at OSF but is no longer there. I would definitely steer clear of this so called Dr. Gait. If I could give her a zero star I would.

We had a terrible experience with Dr. Gait with my child. She was unbelievably rude, condescending, easily threatened, and would frequently gaslight and twist our words. Each appointment felt like an interrogation and we couldn’t wait to find another provider. She also was extremely controlling with refills and my child was left with no medication cold-turkey more than once. Thankfully we found a much better practice with a provider who truly cares for my child.

I am completely disappointed in this establishment. The nurses sit around and gossip. Because of my insurance they would not see me. After I have seen the dr. 4 times. I am truly very upset. I Don't know what to do about my medication being filled. They have truly caused way more anxiety. It's sad because the dr. Knows my daily struggles. If I could I would give not 1 star, because they don't deserve it.

Last year was brutally hard for us, but the nurses and doctors were great in giving us up to date of our patient's situation. We were also there everyday for visitation and our patient was well taken cared of. We had peace of mind at that time. Thank you to all OSF staff for your passion, patience and understanding.
