I have been doing martial arts for almost 30 years; starting with Tang Soo Do (karate) since I was five years old. As I got older I made the switch to MMA, even fighting professionally. I love the ground side of the martial arts and became pretty decent at it, but never took a formal class. After about fourteen years, Grapple 113 with Coach Jokisch opened and I jumped at finally taking formal classes! Coach is fantastic; very patient and great with the kids, very “fight smart” when it comes to the self-defense aspect of BJJ.
It’s also a great way to get in shape!
Just watch out for Coach’s shoulder 😉

Grapple 113 is fantastic. My child's confidence has improved 1000% since she began learning jujitsu. Coach Jokisch is an excellent instructor and is really wonderful working with children of all ages.

I have a 10 year old and 6 year old that both have joined and each class you can see how much their self confidence grows. Coach Jokisch is outstanding with the children. He is so patient and kind with even the smallest children. I can’t say enough how happy we are to be part of this new family.

My son and I started jiu jitsu on opening day at Grapple 113 LLC and have loved it since. My son was the only kid at the first kids class so he got some one-on-one work with Coach Matt. He did great for only being a 3.5 year old, and Coach was great with him. He was definitely excited to go back!

I was impressed with what he learned in just one lesson, and as a father appreciated the fact that the class was more than rolling on the mat jiu jitsu, it’s applicable to every day life…my 3 year old learned how to fall down safely, how to not let himself get pushed or pulled by a stranger, what to do if someone tries to take him off his bicycle or carry him away out of a building (make himself wide and grab the door frame), and of course scream for help! I thought it was great he included the real world application for him to see why he was practicing what he was.

The adult class afterward was a lot of fun too, a positive atmosphere that encourages students of all martial arts backgrounds or none at all.

Started my jiu jitsu journey recently at grapple 113....super friendly environment focused on making each other better and keeping each other SAFE! Everyone's egos are left at the door (which at 41 years old I appreciate lol) and people are just focused on being better versions of themselves. Highly recommend for...young, old, and anyone in between!

Just started here in December and I have truly found a family! I quickly became addicted, and Coach Jokisch and my rolling partners have been so supportive! Can’t say enough great stuff about this place ❤️
