The only things I really liked about this place was that they got me a job, And being able to interact with SIU students majoring in psychology and behavioral analysis! What I did not like about it was that it feels like I was surrounded by preoccupied and self-absorbed know it alls who acted like they knew everything about every type of job that there is! As well as being around people who were overall kind and sincere yet they Were just completely unaware of the world around them, and even if they were not completely unaware of the world around them, they were still a lot of things that they did not understand!

This place is awful absolutely no accountability for staff members that do not follow through. No protection for residents against other clients because they are all 18 or at least that's what the directors say. The directors have little to no knowledge of autism or what it entails. Upon moving in my daughter the one director came out of her office with a doughnut shoved in her mouth. That first impression should have told me something. Do not send your loved one here!

Definitely not much help wouldn't really recommend it for anyone treat clients like little kids just making them mostly clean stuff 24/7 instead of like doing other things they should be teaching you about being on your own definitely wouldn't want anyone to be there if you want Independent living skills might as well look up the internet since you can find more useful things there then you will at that place worse program ever.

Went here back in 2016 and it was awful. Don't go here if you have autism. The supervisors had zero knowledge of the disorder and don't stay in one place and there was one who could barely speak English.

EDC is a wonderful program for people who have disabilities and want to be independent. Jim, the driver's education teacher is a wonderful to work with and very patient. I enjoyed being one of his clients and if it wasn't for Jim, I don't think I would've ever gotten my driver's license! 👍🏾

Living there was an actual nightmare and they refused to let me leave, kept me there against my will for four months. Super controlling, nearly no freedom.

I went there in 2010 to march of 2011. It was basically a place help you learn how to live on your own and ect.
