After delivering my baby I developed preeclampsia, I came to the ER because my chest was heavy and I couldn’t breath, I was admitted to the cardiac floor and my nurses were great! Especially Brandi! I’m so glad you were my nurse! Thank you for taking such good care of me and allowing my new born to also stay with me while I was there! 🥰❤️ you are one of the best nurses I have ever had for any hospital visit! Thank you for you kindness

I was actually here several months ago back in December after I was found dead in a hotel room. Thankfully, they found me just in time so i was able to be revived. I was sent here by ambulance originally after I was left outside memorial hospital. Surprisingly, I actually went to school with one of my nurses daughter a while back when I was growing up. Honestly, I cannot put into words how good of a nurse she was. She puts so much time and effort into her work and I'm so glad I was able to meet her. I don't know where I would be without them.

I went to the ED at 2:15pm with what I thought was just a horrible stomach bug, covered in vomit, sky high fever and an even higher pulse. Molly and the ED team worked quickly to stabilize me while also hearing me when I told them I didn’t want to risk my sobriety, no pain meds.
By 5:30pm I was admitted to the 6th floor.
Those nurses and aides are the true heroes of the hospital.
I ended up septic, with E-coli, a severe kidney infection and an abscess on my kidney. I didn’t have any idea just how sick I was, I just knew I was struggling.

The first night, Ramon showed the kindness I needed when I was ready to give up. Everything hurt, I couldn’t fight.
The next morning, the charge nurses Michelle and Krista along with their team Nikki and Haleigh kept me fighting.
The next night, Nelly and Tara tag teamed the gentle words and understanding I needed.

This staff never once devalued the pain or the way I felt. They celebrated every little victory. They made me want to keep fighting.

The team on the 6th floor is the reason I’m alive. They saved my life and I am forever grateful!

So the security guard was asleep, I had to wake him up to get instruction on getting back into the ER. My adult daughter is here for mental health issues. During her first panic attack the nurse ( who is celebrating her birthday quite loudly) came in saw what was happening and left the room. She didn’t come back.
An hour or so later, my daughter started having a second attack. She was screaming, 3 nurses came and asked what’s wrong. I said she’s having another episode that’s why we are here. They took me to a quiet room.
When I got back to her, my daughter said they gave her a shot and told her to not be so loud, she is disturbing other patients.
So we brought her in cause her emotions are out of control. Panic attacks, mania, whatever it is. We are asking for help!
They did drug test her. She was positive for THC. The last she smoked was 2 days ago.
Than she heard stay saying that’s what her problem is and I heard another staff discussing the same thing by the quiet room.
Mental health is a serious issue and so is privacy!

I've been in this hospital for 4 days. There is literally no reason to complain. I was very impressed with the way I was treated. Not to mention my husband got a flat tire. The security guard saw that when he got out of his car went back and looked at the cameras to make sure it wasn't slashed. Without any of our knowledge. Because my husband was staying up here with me. When my husband went down there he ran into a security guard and asked for help. And this guy came out and was already ready because he's seen it when he was coming in for a shift. The staff is treated me so well. Dr Caldwell is amazing. And I really couldn't ask for more. Elkhart general has came a long way. And I'm very happy with the service.

Dr. Newman is absolutely awful. Terrible experience from start to finish. Every single time we enter this hospital. Anna, the charge nurse, needs some lessons too. Zero out of ten.
