My counselor was amazing, but their missed appointment policy is not very forgiving. A small mix up left me deciding between future services with them and paying $100 fee for said mix up. Guess Jack and I will be parting ways with CA. Sucks too. Our counselors were really good.

My child has been seeing Mallory for over a year now. She is AMAZING and I highly recommend her.

I had ONE billing issue, where I was being sent a bill for my child's other parent's portion of payments. My payments are auto-withdrawn on the same date of my child's sessions, so I was confused as to why I was being sent a bill for outstanding payments that I already covered with ACH transactions. I called the billing office to make sure that they had all the correct mailing and insurance information for both me and the other parent, which they did, and they corrected the issue by making sure that the outstanding-payments-due was sent to the correct responsible party.

Aside from that one hiccup, Counselors Associates has always been helpful. My child has a much better sense of self now because of Mallory!

My son started going to this agency in January 2019. The facility was nice and so was his counselor. However there were ongoing billing issues. My son met his deductible halfway through the year. Around that time my copay went up an additional $50 each visit and I was still getting billed for the same amount after the session. Neither the office nor billing department could tell me why. I contacted my insurance on a couple occasions after that. The increased co-pays continued. The insurance couldn't tell me why the agency was charging me so much. Blue Cross Clue Shield ran a price estimate and they believed I shouldn't be paying anything prior to my appointment (although I would be billed after). My insurance sent them a letter stating that I'd been overcharged, they apologized for any confusion and asked that they refund me upon reciept. That was in late October 2019. The billing department stated they had no clue what I was talking about when I asked them about refunding the money. I took the letter in during a scheduled appointment. They still acted clueless. They've never paid me. I've had ongoing issues with the billing department. So I counted the money as a loss and changed counseling agencies. In late February I was billed for a previous session. I sent a check on 3/4 and they cashed the check a week and a half later according to my online banking app. Today I received a recent bill for the same amount for the same appointment stating it was past due. I've never paid a bill late in my life and I'm getting extremely irritated. As a single mom paying for her son to go to counseling regularly, I spent thousands upon thousands of dollars when I honestly couldn't afford it. You do what you have to for your kid. But this is terrible. I have no idea how something like this happens... But if this is happening to me, I'm sure it's happening to others.

I've been seeing my counselor for a little over a year to help with something that has been a long time coming that I've been avoiding. My counselor has helped me so much with my grief, amongst other concerns, that I feel like she has assisted me in my recent achievements. For the longest time I avoided seeing a counselor because I figured I could handle things on my own and I was talking to my friends and family. However, she helped me understand a few things that even people who had known about my story for so long hadn't been able to recognize. I strongly advocate for anyone that feels they're in a tough spot, dark spot, whatever kind of spot to seek help with a counselor. My insurance luckily covers a big portion of the bill and for me to spend $25 a visit that has helped me tremendously is so worth it. I truly feel grateful that I was able to find this practice over a year ago and that it has given me the tools to help cope with grief, as well as everything else going on in my life. All I can truly say is thank you to the practice and my counselor!

When your child's "counselor" insists upon their own diagnosis that contradicts your child testing results to the extent your child cries, you know you have a problem. Left this place and didn't look back. Best. Decision. Ever.
