CORRAL Riding Academy is truly a great organization! Their mission is not only inspiring, but truly impactful and very much needed in our community. They provide a safe and nurturing environment for all of their participants as well as their horses and staff.

Edited- I’m lowering my review to four stars because of the reasons below. I volunteer at the Kildaire Fram campus on the equine team as a feeder. This place does wonderful work and they make becoming involved as a volunteer mostly easy. I’ve learned a lot! I recommend going to one of their Saturday on the Farm Events! Heads up- they use a natural horsemanship method that makes the horses more unsafe to be around and less likely to listen to you. The horses are treated very humanely and they are very kind to them which is a huge plus! One more thing is that while they posture themselves as a Christian organization they believe in more of a ‘however you view god’ then the actual God. Their truths are an interesting mix of yoga type and Christianity.

Lately I have experienced their lack of communication whenever I need help, have a question or need a total of my volunteer hours. Whenever I need or have to ask something I have to call (where they sound like they hate talking to you on the phone) I then have to send an email to two mailboxes and I rarely if ever get the assistance I need. Recently I was told my mom had to sign a waiver to go in the fields with me to help me muck. This wasn’t a huge problem but I could have asked for a waiver for my mom to sign but I didn’t want to because I would most likely get the run around. There is a really good communication between the feeders but when one team try’s to communicate to another it gets tricky if you’re trying to do it as an individual.

Overall I am continuing to volunteer here because I believe they teach the girls such important life skills and they treat the horses humanely which is very hard balance to find.

Great organization! My daughter went thru there program and I must say I could tell it made a difference. Ms. Rachel is the best. She keeps in contact with you and she's very understanding and caring. The girls that go thru the program can learn a lot working with the horses if they really put there mind to it and want it to work. It's not too many program out there that does what they do. And I'm glad I found CORRAL. Thank you for EVERYTHING. Also they provide transportation if needed.

Corral riding academy is invested in whole care for their program recipients. I have rarely seen a non-profit care for their recipients the way Corral does. Such a fun place to volunteer and give.

Great work by this organization in turning around so many girls' lives. About an 86% success rate. Not only do they rescue girls but also horses.
