I was referred to this program by a highschool friend of mine. I came into the program with a completely different understanding from what was explained to me by my friend Vs. the job readiness coordinators. I was told that I would be paid for each day I was there and that I would be given the opportunity to take training courses in fields that I were interested in. I was told that I would be paid on a specific day and when that day came, I got no payment. I was told again that I would paid on a different day. It's been a whole month now and I still have not yet to receive payment or even been updated about my payment by the staff members. In all honesty this program has not held up to their word or any of the empty promises they've made to the community attending their programs.Only thing I can say that I benefited from while being in the program was the Flaggers Construction Class. Besides that, I would not recommend this program to anyone honestly. A waste of my efforts and time.

I am a Senior Citizen. I use a motorized wheelchair , for now. I am willing and able to work, I have completed Customer Service program in April it is now June. 11717 S. Halsted has done nothing to assist me in finding job placement. I would have preferred to be told the truth and not passed over and strung along. I am very disappointed, frustrated and hurt by their methods. Every time I tried to ask for help after the Customer Service program was over, I was rudely told, they didn't have time to even give me an appointment to get an " assessment" to be sent to a work site. There were some good people there, Ms. Bradley, Ms. Rainey, the rest just want you in their program, because without you, there is no program.

I attended a 4 weeks program. The classes were so informative. The staff very professional and supportive to everyone. Even though I'm retired. I learned so much on how to get a job and what a person needs to present him/herself to an employer.
Mr. Price was an excellent instructor. Even though you won't get paid until they find you a job it's worth every moment. And yes I start my new job Tuesday.

I came to this program to help find assistance in being a cna the people that work here are terrible at there jobs no one communicates everything is misconstrued and messy I have been trying to get help receiving my ID for 3 months now and still haven’t received it I am never able to get real answers nor solutions I’m really over this program they don’t help for real

The Community assistance program is a great place to go to, if you need help getting a job. All you have to do, is sign some papers, tell them what kind of job you're interested in, then they'll find you a job similar to what you want. While you're working, they'll work on getting you the actual job you want and they'll let you know when they have everything taken care of.

Worst job placement program EVER! They truly only help ppl who are fresh out of prison and CURRENTLY on parole. They give you false hope of employment and turn around and try to send you to intern at a chicken shack or day care for free. It is a complete waste of time.
