My child has been receiving care at Collaborative Counseling & Psychiatry for about 18 months. Recently, he returned home very upset after an encounter with Mike Gara, whom he has seen for some time. During their session, my son felt extremely uncomfortable when left alone with him. As a medical provider, it’s crucial to consider how you interact with individuals whose brains are still developing. It is unacceptable for my son to feel this way. I have attempted to reach out for a conversation but have not received a return call. It’s frustrating that I have to resort to leaving a Google review in hopes of getting a response.

Amanda was my counselor briefly then I had no insurance so I unfortunately couldn’t keep seeing her! She was attentive and amazing. Would see her again anytime! As far as Melissa who just prescribes meds over the phone.. not happy with! A five minute conversation for an anxiety med that I hated and no longer take because I am doing better; was 285$ that’s insane!! Never again! So disappointed.. I’ll pay this off slowly and never see anyone ever again that charges that kind of money for a five minute conversation.

I don't usually write reviews, but Dr. McNally has been there for my daughter since day one. He understand my fears as a parent with medication and always takes my motherly intuition to heart. He listens to me and my daughter fully and whenever I have a question I can email him and he will email me back same day. He literally saved my daughter from spiraling out of control and is so helpful with school and helping us get her additional help and support in that area. We do not know where we would be if Dr. McNally didn't come into our lives. I would recommend him to anyone needing psychological help for themselves or their child.

Ive thought long and hard about actually writing this review and decided I needed to. I made an appt for my son (9 yr old) who was having troubles with nightmares. His first session he wanted me in the room but the counselor said no, she wanted to speak to him alone. I have never been to a counselor so did not really know if that was a good or bad thing. The second appointment she asked to speak to me, and directly in front of my son she informed me that he had anxiety and low self esteem. To me that is NOT ok to say in front of a child. I chose not to continue with this facility and left them a voice mail canceling his next appointment. Then when I received text reminder, replied "cancel" . they ended up charging me for missing the appointment and refused to budge on it. stating I did not ensure they knew I was not coming. Not a pleasant experience to say the least.

Let me start by saying Dr. McNally is phenomenal. Unfortunately though the receptionist I believe her name to be Katie is extremely unwelcoming and rude. When I called for an appointment I spoke with her. She gave the impression that she was annoyed with my questions. When I came in for my appointment she acted as though I was bothering her even though I was there for an appointment. I saw Dr. McNally but unfortunately when you are dealing with mental health issues and the first person you see is so unwelcoming I have chosen to go elsewhere. The two stars are for the service I received with Dr. McNally for my one and only appointment.

Dr McNally is the most caring Psychiatrist I have ever met! He takes the time to get to know your child and he can relate to them! We have been going to him for over 8 years!
He is as awesome as a psychiatrist can be!!
