so my late grandmother had this outfit put together a second home for her. She thought she was getting a good deal but they quoted her a huge sum of money for just a shell of a house without any electric, water or plumbing. She signed the paperwork while I was at work and a representative from a bank came over to talk to her while their rep from coach house was there. my grandma was nearly blind and had to be directed where to sign which calls to question their ethics when she had no legal representation. the bank that they had to help with funding didn't offer her a veteran loan, since she was a veteran spouse. they instead gave her payday loans with high interest backed with HUD organizations outside of the state. Since my grandma's passing, I have started looking into the second house and notice how a number of things would not pass housing inspections. we have trusses with no nails and hangers/stringers cut or smashed. the foundation they poured is cracking and one side of the roof is leaking. I am not a licensed contractor but I do read and learn as I go. my warning before anyone does any dealings with this outfit is to speak to a lawyer or a contractor before these people. my grandma paid 120,000 dollars to build a shed without any amenities. I pity the fool who would opt to do business with this outfit.

At the time of writing this it has been 6 months since the start of a 2 car garage and demo of a single car garage. After being told it would take 3 to 4 weeks.

Not everything on my request list was met and my lack of explanation of line items in the contract was a way for Coach to hide their mistakes. Example; I asked for the roof to match my homes roof angle. This was agreed to during a my first meeting but not met during construction. When I spoke to the rep he stated, “oh well, the contract does not say that”.

The demonstration crew left my yard a mess. There was an 8 foot hole in my yard for 2 months with plenty of dirt for back fill. Reason being the treads for the backhoe fell off and that was left in my yard for weeks.

The electrician never came out to disconnect the electrical so the demo guys ripped it out of my old garage and left it exposed for 2 months. The concrete company, again without turning it off, cut it to short for the electricians to reuse and buried it hot.

The electricians have been great thus far. They were able to locate the buried electrical lines that were not marked. And have to dig a 30 ft trench that was not supposed to be done so it wasn’t in the initial bid. The carpenters put the wrong J blocks in for the electricians. Not only the color but the amount. They put in a number of extra blocks. Coach has stepped up to pay for that electrical work but did not inform the electricians if the extra work needing to be done.

To top it off I, the home owner, have had to schedule the subcontractors and work as the GC. The garage does seem to be built well but it is not what I wanted nor is it what I asked for.

If I had to do it again I would have paid another company more money to not have to deal with Coach.

Love love love our garage from COACH HOUSE GARAGES. We have gotten so many compliments on top of getting a quality built garage. I have had the other guys garage 😒 built at my last home. It is literally falling apart where it sits on property. From day one we found flaws, but reporting it fell on deaf ears. One major issue was a huge dip in floor where they took cement to cover up an issue with wall. When it rained we had a puddle of water in garage from it leaking. Rain came in garage every time. It never should have.
With our Coach House Garage we have never had an issue. Once a storm tore off our weather vain and Coach House replaced it free. Don't walk, run to get a garage from Coach House. You will have the pride of the neighborhood. ❤

They subcontract the company called small-time concrete who likes to rip off their employees and not pay them right also they use minors to work and don't pay them right I would not recommend this company or small-time concrete for any garage or concrete needs
