The city government of carbondale is full of socialist and marxist types. These people create rules and laws they believe to make the community better. However, these rules and laws are deterents to private companies. These private companies are necessary for the lower class individuals to have an oppurtunity to work and better there lives. The city government and the people in it have good intentions i have no doubt. There fantasies of what human society could be cloud there vision. If they truly care about The People then they would take steps to reduce the size of the city government, reduce the taxes, reduce the regulations and then The People could go from being stagnate and hopeless to being productive working class members of our great american society.

What am I paying 40 extra dollars for when I live right down the street? A little extreme? Y'all quick to turn somebody water off but takes y'all 7+ hours to turn it back on . I've been dealing with you guys for a while and nothing ticks me off worse then city of Carbondale .

Turned my water off after 10 day late payment, the weekend after Christmas.

I didn’t receive any mail for my needed payment for that month.

Receptionist were no help, even though they usually are.

In the earlier this year, they would cut your water off after your second missed bill payment.

Honestly, this is a low income area and I’m disappointed how the city and civic center polices are non compromising when it comes to people who need a little time or are simply busy.

I’m short handed because I just graduated and have to pay my down payment on my apartment I have to move 5 hours away.

I couldn’t imagine how they treat people who honestly can’t afford to pay their bill and their absorbent 40 dollar water reconnect fee even though it’s just water (a vital part of human survival). The circumference of the town in less than a 10 mile radius, so they aren’t traveling far enough for that fee to account for gas mileage.

Sadly, this gives you insight on how immoral practices fuel our economy. Especially in small towns like Carbondale with their absorbent taxes on entertainment as well.

So much I want to say about the city of Carbondale. I have been living at my current address for 6 months... my yard has always been clean I pick up even when people throw things in my yard. which I have camera footage of. I scheduled a pick up last week for the big boxes and stuff from Christmas. The lady that answered the phone was rise and had an attitude saying they couldn't do it last week because people were on vacation spending time with their family that's fine I just couldn't seem to understand why I was getting attitude and I wasn't giving any attitude....now tomorrow they are supposed to pick up he extra trash yet I so ehow got a letter today also the guy keeps taking my tarp off of my tires that are stacked beat and my kids electric cars talking about get rid of the debris the way I see it they are bothering me for nothing and I definitely will be doing something about it because when you don't and you just allow them too constantly bother you when you have done nothing wrong they will take every opportunity to mess with ya

Incredibly rude. Poor service. Staff here is incredibly unhelpful. I know they are underpaid but it isn't my fault. People in this town warned me about them. They were correct.
