Office Rick in an unmarked dodge ram pulled me over on BICYCLE when I was getting on the great western trail bike path at St. Charles rd and schmale. I ride the path everyday and I own a house in carol stream. This is my normal route. He was very confrontational and “tuff” over me safely crossing on a red light with no cars around. I was on mile 2 of 30 miles and he really wasted my time and the 3 other officers time he called in. Not the best representation of the department. If I did something wrong write a ticket.

Back in the 90s my family lived on a corner lot on Heather lane. It was a great neighborhood filled with kids.
One time I was about 4 or 5 and walked to the police department. They gave me a tour and a coloring book..
Another time I locked my brother in the car, my mom wasn't pleased.
Carol Stream police department always came to the rescue..
I'm not sure how it is these days, but I'll always remember how kind and caring the police of my childhood were.
I'll forever miss that corner house on Heather lane. It was the place to be.
I don't think they even have a pool anymore.
I have much respect for police, I hope they still have that value to help the people in the neighborhood.. is Steamers still there? what a great place to get a hot dog.

I locked myself out of my car, and so a cop was dispatched to help me out. I didn’t get his name but he was very sweet and got my car unlocked in less than a minute.

Got arrested for fleeing. They treated me very well. Cells are spacious and clean. Food is ok. Handcuff was a bit corroded but it’s ok it gets the job right. Officers are very friendly and always try to work with you not just handing tickets. Overall it was a great experience

I appreciate the gentlemen who serve and protect us while being honest. This review doesn’t portray the Carol Stream PD as a whole as I never have had a bad experience with them even when I'm wrong and being written a ticket, however, falsifying traffic tickets in order to boost your stats won’t allow you to last long on the force Officer (ROOKIE) Quinn. Eating food and driving doesn’t result in operating while on a cellphone charge.

I've lived here on and off for 6 yrs. I have never had such attitude for calling the emergency line for my wife being ganged up on by a bunch of drunk neighbors before. It happens often here. I can't believe how she was treated and when I rushed to get there, they were completely dismissive as well. Why I called was serious. She's so scared she's moving out of here and talking her mom out of retiring here. These young cops are horrible and not about public safety. They let the thugs go,admit yes they have plenty of calls against them.. yet do nothing about safety of my family. So thanks for having them so scared they're leaving and not buying a home here. Kudos. No protection or safety around here.
You crapped on 2 chemo patients and believed drunks and druggies instead. This is not what I live here for. I will make this known as one of us is a pillar of the community.. well, was.

These guys have been nothing but nice since I recently moved to Carol Stream.

I moved to Carol Stream with my boyfriend a few weeks ago and, within the first week, my burglar alarm went off. These guys came in, cleared the house, and were super nice to me, even after it was discovered that MY DOG knocking down the baby gate was what triggered the alarm.
Yesterday, I was (accidentally) speeding through Carol Stream and got pulled over. I explained to the guy that I just moved to Carol Stream, was still using a GPS to figure out how to get home, and didn't really know the speed limits around town yet. He was super understanding and cut me a break.

The ticket issued to me by the Carol stream police department clearly stated in bold lettering that I go to pay my fine at "500 N Gary Ave. Carol stream IL" and that address is some rundown apartment complex, and when I brought that to their attention, they said they had just moved out of that building.
The police department moved out of a rundown apartment complex.
And on top of that, when I went to pay my $350 ticket and $100 court fees, nobody there had any idea what the court fees were, and the only record they have of my ticket, is the piece of paper I brought in with me.
Painfully unorganized, this department seriously needs some help.
