My mother has lived in the cottages for over 2 years and recently moved out. Her initial stay was not under lease, and last December was required to sign a lease. She was ASSURED that she would be able to give 30 days notice to get out of the lease if she moved. This was my mother's understanding throughout 2024. We communicated she will be moving as soon as construction is done in her new place...in August. And continued to communicate the move as our contractor wasn't done. No red flags, no issues... Until October, when we were told that she is under a lease until the end of December and can't get out of it. Office manager apologized profusely and it was her fault... on and on. BUT NO RECOURSE. They did not make things right. Spoke to the regional director today, and "we need to go off contracts" "I'm sorry your mom feels that way" .... no apology, no recourse and no attempt to make it right. Taking advantage of elderly, even if they can legally sign contracts, in order to get them to sign it doesn't mean it is right. Please ensure as loved ones you read the contracts or have your family members know what they are getting into before signing. Do not trust what anyone says.

I did everything and anything to work for this company for one reason only because I care about my elderlies and wanted nothing more but to cook for them. My experience there as a worker was unbelievable another co-worker put their hands on me and still got to keep there job. Another coworker use profanity at me and they ended up letting me go. I was the one person who never complained about the residents who cooked their food from the heart who cared to work in a clean kitchen. The people I worked with in the kitchen said horrible things about the residence about their smell how they were sick of them they said they wanted to even put their hands on them. I've seen them take money from the residence which I was told we were not supposed to. The kitchen is on unsanitized. I could go on but I'm not going to waste my breath anymore the ones that care they let go and the ones that don't are still there. I think they deserve more Especially For what they pay to stay there.

I visited this place and many more for my mother. I actually came back another time with my husband just to see again. Donna Stinson could not have been more helpful in making this decision easier where to have my mother live. It takes on a whole other aspect for the best place to live and to feel comfortable that my mother is safe.
I thank Donna so much. She knew everything that was part of my concerns on a place to live for my mother. My mom has been here for almost 2 months and is very happy.

The facilities are nice but that's where it ends. Cleaning service rarely shows up and when they do, they spend 15 minutes. When it comes to the rent increase, they send out a docusign at 11 pm on the 30th day and think they are meeting the 30 day requirement. Also rent was raised 35%! Avoid these predators.

I had only been able to stop in for information and we didn't even get a chance to tour before Covid and the stay-at-home orders hit. John was able to provide us video of the actual apartments that were available and answer all of our questions to work us through the process so that when move-ins were allowed again, we were ready to go. It's stressful enough moving a loved one, let alone in these circumstances but we were very confident of our choice after talking with John. Even though we had a couple of bumps with our movers, John and his team went above and beyond to help get my mother-in-law moved in on time and safely under the Covid guidelines. We wish we could have seen her face when she walked in the apartment but talking to her the next morning we knew we made the right choice and she was happy. If anyone else is facing a decision about moving their relative to Burr Senior Living or about doing it during this time of Covid, I would not hesitate to tell you to do it because John and the rest of the team are wonderful!

This is a beautiful facility but there are severe staffing problems causing issues such as:
Limited menu and meal options
House keeping which not being done.
Transport to church on Sunday which was being done b4 Covid has now been discontinued. These were all selling point when Burr Ridge opened and are all problems now.

Cannot recommend this facility at this time.

A beautiful and elegant 5 star facility with first class staff. 221 units with a combination of independent, assisted and memory care living with an incredible dining menu, activities and care free living. Parents have never been happier moving into this senior living mansion.

I can’t speak at all on the quality of life the seniors are experiencing at the assisted living home. However, I sincerely hope the management at this home shows better care for their seniors than they do for their neighbors. There has been raw sewage running from the assisted living home into my subdivision, and people in the vicinity are experiencing headaches because of this. I have called twice, and while the receptionists have been very nice, there is only so much they can do as the management of the assisted living home has received the complaint, and is only coming on Tuesday, basically knowingly allowing raw sewage to spill into a neighboring property for 3 days without doing anything, despite the problem being entirely of their doing. This has been a problem for 1-2 weeks now.

In addition, my step mother experienced an accident in winter from water spilled from the runoff pond turning to ice. We have been politely trying to contact them about this since then, but have been receiving very little response. Thus, although I would not like to post this review, I feel no other alternative, since I have attempted multiple times to go to them with these problems and they have been avoidant. Again, I really hope that this lack of care does not translate to the level of care that residents at this center are experiencing.
