My wife saw Dr. McGrath from the mid to late 2000's, and he changed her life. She loved his no-BS, tell it to you straight, approach. My wife has suffered a lot of loss, and as a result she's seen a lot of therapists. She hated the typical therapist that would ask, ..."and how does that make you feel?"...She appreciated Dr. McGrath asking the question, "How's that working out for you?" because there was no way to answer other than it wasn't working out! The techniques he taught her through exposure therapy and CBT helped her regain a life she didn't think was worth living - she learned how to reframe her thoughts, and address the anxiety & OCD she suffered from. The therapy gave her the strength & belief in herself to leave a toxic marriage, and raise her son while finding happiness & stability for the two of them. All these years later - inevitably - tough situations come up, but she still uses the techniques Dr. McGrath taught her... including, "How's that working out for you?".

Someone is bitter about something with Dr. McGrath. He doesn't even handle money or insurance at his practice. He's a great psychologist and very knowledgeable.
