I agree Robert J. Walsh does talk down to you and acts like he’s better than you. In general he comes off as a finger pointing, know it all. It’s common for him to interrupt you. He doesn’t allow you to finish talking or speak your mind. I thought this was my therapy session. In my personal experience he’s also a fan of fat shamming. I saw him when I was younger and heavy set. He liked to belittle me for emotional eating. Now as an adult I’ve lost weight and have massively improved my health. I just remember him having no empathy, whatsoever. That is a very important trait in my opinion. How can you treat and care for someone without that? My final thoughts are that he’s rigid and abrasive. See somebody else, you’ll be happy you did! I highly recommend Daniel L Shultz in Valparaiso.

When I was in high school I saw him pretty regularly. Then told me that my verbally abusive father had nothing wrong with him and that I was the problem. Also constantly compared me to his teenage daughter who was going into college at the time (I was a freshman). When I told him about my relationship issues his response was "it's just a high-school relationship, it doesn't matter" that boyfriend I was talking about in high school is now my fiancé. He is absolutely terrible and in result of this horrible experience I refused to go to therapy for about 4.5 years after that. He constantly belittled you and makes you cry (not in a good way). He needs to go back to school to get a refresher on how to treat his patients. He needs to learn how to be the medium of a situation not try to control it. If I could give him zero stars I would.
Additionally, my fiance also went to him and has helped me write this review because he did the same things to him.

Dr. Walsh is an exceptional therapist who is very professional and also cares about you as a whole person. He was always trustworthy and honest, which created an environment where I felt safe to open up. Because of his insight and wisdom, I am free from some heavy emotional baggage I had carried for decades.
I highly recommend Dr. Walsh to everyone.

Dr Walsh has been nothing BUT professional, helpful and game-changing for my son who has Asperger's Syndrome and ADD. Growing up a teen with these conditions is not easy for the teen nor the parent. Dr Walsh gave us direction, guidance, recommendations and more! He even came to our conference at school to enlighten the social workers, teachers as to what and how to work with my son to have success in school! We have worked with Dr Walsh since 8th grade and now my son is a senior who is succeeding! Thank you Rob Walsh!!

Went in to talk to him twice. The first time he was somewhat helpful. The second time I went to see him I told a story that involved a gay friend of mine and he started telling me to cut that person out of my life because "people like that are trouble" "nothing good can come from them". This had nothing to do with why I came in there, i didn't even finish my story. He just started pushing his religious views on me instead of concentrating on why I came to him in the first place. Not very professional at all. Would not reccomend.
