Lucas Counseling has helped me with two different unavoidable situations in my life; from feelings of guilt and depression to the death of a close loved one. Charlie encourages me look at the different perspectives of certain situations in life to come to more positive end results. He has helped me tremendously with time management, over-thinking, and making time for myself to do things I enjoy. If I ever have any other struggles, Lucas Counseling will be my first choice.

Lucas Counseling Group came recommended to me by a few friends. I was feeling stuck, but I told myself I didn’t need help because I didn’t feel low ALL the time. This battle went on for years. I eventually decided to call and make an appointment with Charlie. There was a waitlist. I took that as a sign I was right and didn’t need help. Well, I got a callback within a week to schedule my first appointment. Now I had to go. That decision has changed my life. We all deserve to be the best version of ourselves and now I actually believe that! I have never felt judged or that my frame of mind was of minor importance. Melissa recommended me to Lucas counseling and recommended me to Jessica. I talked to Melissa about my miscarriages and my struggles my husband and I have been having since we had our miscarriages and she said I should check out Lucas counseling. I have always struggled with getting my feelings out about things but Jessica makes it so easy to just talk it all out. I have been to therapy before but didn't make as much progress as I have made with Jessica. She is so easy to talk to about anything. Melissa is amazing as well with her positivity. Thank you ladies for all of your help. My husband has even noticed my progress and is possibly switching to a counselor here. I look forward to my appointments which is something that I didn't have when I went to my other therapist.

My experience with Charlie Lucas has been at minimum Exceptional. I trust him completely and now have friends going to him since they have seen how much he has helped me. Charlie has changed my life in so many ways. Everyday is unbelievably better. I came to Charlie at a time when I felt at a loss and defeated in several aspects of my life. I was in crisis mode everyday. I was totally stressed, highly anxious and basically a mess. Although my family and friends are very supportive, no one had dealt with the issues I desperately needed help with and I was out of ideas to even start to deal with life. Charlie listened intently to my situation and concerns. He then jumped all in, with excitement, to guide me, teach me and walk me through each and every issue. He has taught me so much and I find myself thinking “ Wow, I did that!” I’m happy again, I’m proud again and I live again. I always feel like I am talking to a friend and I see him smile when I tell him about my new accomplishments. He genuinely cares about each person. On 2 occasions I have called him for help with a particular scenario between appointments and he was right there for me with the help I needed. Sometimes we go for walk for my session and he will FaceTime a session if needed. He is the best all around therapist I have been to and I will continue with Charlie from here on out.

Charlie Lucas is the first counselor I've gone to (and I've gone to several) who actual "gets me". He's real and honest and actually listens. At every appointment, we talk about solutions!! He uses alot of humor, which is so refreshing. We also go on walks nearly every appointment, because he believes in using exercise to improve your overall well being. He gives me hope that I'm going to be the person I want to become. And, I'm getting there. Yay!
