I absolutely love this location! While the prices could be a bit cheaper for a thrift store, you can still find some incredible deals that make the visit worthwhile. Most of the time, I shop for work clothes since I have to adhere to a specific professional dress code, and I can always find exactly what I’m looking for. The organization of the store is one of my favorite aspects; everything is neatly sorted by clothing type and then further organized by color. This thoughtful arrangement really enhances my shopping experience, as I often feel overwhelmed in other thrift stores that can be disorganized or too large to navigate easily. Here, I know exactly where to go when I need something specific, which makes my trips so much more enjoyable.

Additionally, the staff at this location are consistently polite and helpful. I’ve never encountered any issues during my visits, which adds to the overall positive atmosphere. There’s a charming hometown feel to the service here that makes me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. Each time I shop, I leave not just with great finds, but also with a sense of satisfaction from the excellent service. Overall, this thrift store has become one of my favorite places to visit!

I've always had great experiences with clothes mentor in Lexington Kentucky until recently. I brought in an authentic Gucci handbag to sell. It has serial number inside and I waited while they authenticated it. When I came back in the allotted time they told me they couldn't for sure authenticate it and they were going through some new system to authenticate items. My feelings were all over the place. I don't know if they didn't want to purchase my bag bc I didn't have dust bag or box or if they thought I had stolen the bag from maybe my employer, like I was a domestic or something going through Miss Millie's closet. It really hurt my feelings bc the bag was real and it was mine . I really feel like this would not have happened to any other race of woman bringing in a top of the line, authentic item for sale. A lot of people ask "why does race always come up in situations?" I'm going to tell you why. Because it does! This happened to me about 6 months ago and I haven't been back since then. I will never set foot in that store ever again.

Absolutely terrible experience. We dropped our clothing off at 10:40., and was told it would be about an hour and they would send a text when it was ready. 1:30 rolls around and still no text from them. I go back to the store. Apparently they put all my information in wrong… name, number, the works. I waited around hours waiting on them.

I sold many designer things to Clothes Mentor a few years back and the process was so easy. I went there last week, waited for about 20 minutes to check in my clothing for the buyers. Finally a staff member came over and said "we are short staffed so you will have to leave your items and come back at 6pm. This was at 12 noon. The conveyor belt area was backed up all the way to the end and 4 staff were up front. The store appearance has really deteriorated since I was there before. It looked messy and the clothing looked cheap. I will find a better place to shop.

I have been shopping at Clothes Mentor since it first opened and I always enjoy finding good buys and quality clothing there. However, I feel that post-Covid it has really changed. The previous manager was way classier and professional, and kept the store smelling much better than it does now. Also, the clothes have more stains and are in less quality condition than previously. Of course you can always still find a few good items but it is overall it’s not what it used to be. The prices have also gone up and I feel that at the retail store you can get the items on sale at the same price but they are in new condition. I have been to many close mentors in other cities and this is a big one, but overall what they except is lower brands and condition by comparison.
