Rooms were dirty. TV”s didn't work and no one updated us prior to our stay. Water pressure in bathroom sink was so hard it would get everything wet. Air never shut off was always running and very loud. At check out we couldn’t wait in the line since there were so many people with problems. Should of been offered money back with all the issues I would never stay again

I don’t travel often but have to say this was the most bizarre experience I’ve had in a hotel. This was a work event and had to stay for a week. I’ll list pros and cons. I’m a big review reader so wanted to just post our experience.

Pros:
1) older gentleman behind the desk was incredibly helpful and pleasant.
2) the location is extremely convenient due to the restaurants in walking distance, and the freeway.
3) the beds/pillows were actually pretty comfortable
4) A/C works well

Cons:
1) the rooms were disgusting
2) we left our “do not disturb” sign off the door so we did get room service. Day 3 we still did not get anything and had to ask the front desk.
3) the pool is advertised in the pictures, but there is none. I’ve seen in other reviews the owner will comment and say its displayed that it’s “under construction” well that just not accurate unfortunately.
4) the breakfast was disturbing to say the least.
5) the safes did not work inside the room
6) we had to have our door key reset literally 8 different times because they wouldn’t work.
7) the bathroom sink is outside of the bathroom. Kinda strange to me but this is just a design flaw and not necessarily a hotel issue.

In conclusion, the hotel is just nasty in regards to cleanliness. Honestly, we started taking bets if they even have room service that actually came into rooms and cleaned. On our 4th day, we actually saw someone with a cleaning cart with towels on it.

I will give credit to the hotel staff as they discounted our rooms drastically due to the tvs not working etc but we were unaware of any of this until check in.

Unfortunately, It’s very noticeable that this hotel likely was a very nice hotel at one point, but it’s fallen off HARD.

This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. Construction noise right next door every day, including on the weekend, with no advance warning. The breakfast buffet was worse than mediocre - scrambled eggs every day, plus individual pastries that someone had wrapped in Saran Wrap and that were pathetic; little to no fruit; at least the coffee was good. The window screen was shredded - literally flapping in the wind, so I was forced to use the noisy A/C. I stayed for three nights, four days and never once did housekeeping clean the room. Not a singe piece of artwork on any wall - the room was utterly sterile, albeit clean, but it didn't stay that way because of no housekeeping. I could go on and on. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

This was a visit home. We have stayed at LaMalfa hotel before and was great. This trip we had a bad experience. I was charged 3x on my account and twice the amount of qoute given over the phone.
Food under the bed.
Coffee pot was dirty.
Pool closed.
Cont breakfast had to turn on waffle.machine, ask for utensils, Coffee machine broken.
Elevator out of order.
Snack and drink machine out of order.
Womens shelter staying on 3rd floor.
Weeds all around
I believe we saw 3 othrt people while staying here. Very uneasy and weird stay.

THE best Easter brunch. It was beautiful and delicious. There was food for kids ( pizza, mini hot dogs) and other foods ranging from sushi to breakfast and carving station meats. Looking forward to other events held there.

We had a large group of about 20. We had all pre paid for the Thanksgiving buffet. When we walked in, it looked beautifully decorated. I had high hopes since it cost $45.00 per person.
We got there at 1 o'clock most of the food was cold. Nothing was marked as to what it was. Everyone was searching for plates to get their food. Instead of having them on every table, they were located by the carving station that you couldn't get to because of the line of people waiting for fresh carved meats. Coffee and water were included. Soft drinks and cocktails were not. It was $2.00 a piece for soft drinks. It was advertised as a cash bar. After ordering all my drinks and they were made , I was told it was charge card only. I had to go back to my table and get a card. It was not a problem to pay with a card, but it was advertised as a cash bar. The bartenders were not familiar with the charge card system, so that slowed the line up quite a bit. Lastly, our 85- year- old mother was home and not feeling well. She had already prepaid. We asked if we could take her a box of food, and we were told no. I am very disappointed that such a large corporation that is in the hospitality industry was so callous. It's not very hospitable at all to take money from an 85-year-old woman. I hope the $ 45.00 was worth it for them to lose all our business in the future.

My wedding at Lamafa was phenomenal! We got married in the chapel, which was absolutely beautiful. Our cocktail hour was amazing with the chef‘s table. We got many compliments about the fabulous spread of food. Dinner was great as well. Marty was easy to work with, and made sure we had everything we needed for our wedding. My florist did not pack a toss bouquet, so Gina made one up for us at the last minute! She was amazing. Also, our wait staff took very good care of I guests and our concierge took very good care of us. We were sad that we did not get a chance to take any food home from the chef’s table because there was so much left over. I’m not sure if we would even have been allowed but it would have been nice because that was an extra expense for us, other than that it was a perfect evening.

When I arrived to my room I noticed dirty area after dirty area. This led me to check the sheets and mattress. The mattress had an excessively large circular blood stain (the size of a serving platter). I immediately took pictures and went to the front desk staff. I was informed that she put me in this room because the mattress was brand new. It was disgusting.||||The employee assigned me to the room next door. That room was just as filthy, except the mattress did not have the huge blood stain.||||The next morning, I had to hunt down staff to check me out. This staff member could care less that I had been waiting probably 15 minutes for him to return from wherever he was (mind you it was 6-6:30am). Then he seemed like I was causing him all sorts of trouble when I requested a printed receipt. He informed me that I would have to wait for him to turn his computer on!
