Horrendous experience & will never go back. I initially started going, for trauma, because their website states such. I was then paired with someone who specializes in CHILDREN & has zero trauma training. From there, I met with Leigh to work through some disordered eating struggles (that IS her specialty). I was recently out of an abusive relationship & she completely backed me into a corner & all but demanded we discuss it, even though I told her I wanted to stay on topic. She told me I invited my abuser into my bed. That I need to take responsibility for how he hurt me, because I chose him, and that my family is "too afraid to love me". She also sternly told me "doing the same thing over & over expecting different results, is the definition of insanity". A THERAPIST CALLED ME INSANE, on a topic SHE IS NOT EVEN TRAINED TO HANDLE. I was so upset when I left their office I couldn't even drive myself home for a while. I've never felt so shamed, blamed, and embarrassed. If getting out of abusive relationships was easy, no one would be in them. Her response to me was that her approach came from a "generalized anger of violence on women committed by men". She brought her personal feelings into MY session, and projected them all over me, further damaging my mental health. Further damaging my trust for ANYONE who says they can "help". I would never recommend going there, to anyone I know.

Called this practice and the intake person was unprofessional, inappropriate and overly reacted and questioned me re treatment and insurance
